Mobile Suit Gundam (機動 戦士 ガンダム) or better known as the "First Gundam" is a mecha anime series by Yoshiyuki Tomino made and Hajime Yatake and produced by Sunrise Inc. .. The series was later re-edited for broadcast in the theater and eventually split into three movies in 1981.
